The majority of people not only fail to meet the daily dose of recommended vegetables, but actually consume less than two of the three to five servings that they should each day. The ones that do eat vegetables, are often eating the least nutritious (potatoes in the form of french fries, tomatoes in the form of ketchup, and iceberg lettuce). Variety is essential to receiving all the health benefits that vegetables have to offer, whether it be reducing the risk of disease or shrinking your pant size.
