Enjoy the taste of eating right is a great way for helping people be mindful of what foods they should be consuming. So, before you eat, think about what steps you need to take when “eating right”.

• Make a list for healthy grocery staples-buy a variety of foods, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, fish, poultry, eggs, beans and nuts.
• Eat Super Foods- one of the best ways to boost your immune system is by eating foods high in antioxidants. Grab some blueberries, toss some dark green leafy veggies, steam some artichokes, munch on pecans and walnuts, plus boil some redor pinto beans.
• Stay hydrated-often the most forgotten nutrient is water. Staying hydrated helps control your appetite, prevent fatigue, headaches and flush out toxins. A few simple ways to stay hydrated is by drinking water and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are also a great source of water.
• No excuse for eating badly- a bad day at work, broke up with your significant other, just bombed a midterm, we can come up with a hundred reasons to justify eating poorly.
• Take time out for food-we often find ourselves eating while making meals, at our desk, in front of the computer, in our car-basically anywhere but the kitchen table. Make a promise to yourself for at least one meal a day you will sit at the table enjoy your food and focus on what you are eating, this will help you feel satisfied and prevent overeating.
